This past year has been great. I got married, moved into my house, got a dog, started graduate school, found out we’re expecting, and so much more. This upcoming year is going to be stressful but amazing. No one could put into words how much love I already have for this little creature in my belly. This year many of my goals are for me, some are for my husband, but almost all are for the baby.
1. This year I will try my best to get active. I know I’m going to be gaining weight, that’s obvious. But I want to do it in a way that is healthy. I also want to set myself up so that once I deliver the baby I can lose more than just my pregnancy weight. My goal in 2011 is to develop routines of exercising to set me up to reach my ideal weight in 2012. This includes exercising 30 minutes a day regardless. I can run, I can walk, and I can Wii.
2. This goal may seem silly, but in 2011 I want to take more pictures. The only pictures from 2010 I have are my wedding photos. While I love them, I want to have more. I’m going to start taking my camera places. I’d also like to successfully complete some kind of 365 photo challenge, just to get into the habit of taking pictures again.
3. My third goal is for my husband. I grew up with out a male head of household and I admit I have no idea how to treat the man in a marriage. My goal for this year is to truly learn to respect my husband. I will use nice words, less sarcasm and try to build him up more than I do now.
4. This goal is for not only my kids at school but my kiddo on the way. Even though I’m a lot more tired lately, I need to give my kids 100%. They deserve it. When I have my baby I want to give him/her all that I have.
5. Lastly, this might seem a little obvious- but I want to have a baby. But here’s the thing. I want to have a baby naturally—No pain medicine, no pit, nothing—just me and my baby (well in a hospital, but still).
I can’t wait to see what 2011 has in store for Rial and I. We’re advancing in our relationship with God, and with each other. We’re still learning what marriage is and now we get to add parenting on top of that. I have no doubt we will be great parents.
P.S. In order to keep these goals I will be keeping track of them weekly as well so look out for those posts. Also, does anyone know of a good 365 photo project that is not just pictures of myself?
resolutions here, too.
